The lowly sewer cap's of the world

Well this will wrap up this short little blog on sewer caps that I've seen.
This first is my favorite, it's from a little town called Yudanaka. They're known for their numerous hot spring spas.(Does the Cap make sense now?).

There are many caps out there, and as you can see, many are pretty boring. But some are, as you might admit, quite interesting.
If nothing else, as I mentioned earlier, taking photos of the caps is a good way to remember where you were when you take a series of photos.
Have fun. And remember to look at your feet periodically, ya never know what you'll find:-)

The lowly sewer cap's of the world

The Japanese foundries I think produce the most intricate and "beautiful:-)" sewer caps (see below). But many of the Czech Republics' were quite interesting (see previous blog).

While others such as these, well, they're still just lowly sewer caps, but at least they let you know where you are.

(Note - taking photos of the caps while you're traveling is a great way to remember where you are in a series of photos. Especially when you take lots of photos, and or visit lots of places).

I have a few more photos, so be sure to see the next blog:-)

The lowly sewer cap's of the world

"Why blog sewer Caps" you say.
And I say, "cause nobody else looks like they've done it".

In various cities around the world I've looked down at my feet to notice the lowly sewer cap. And I've discovered much to my surprise that they are not always just dull round caps that cover a hole.

No my friends in some cities the foundries have gone out of their way to make the caps something special.

In some cases it's just putting the name of the city on the cap.
In other locations they're actually designed to be looked at.
And, much to my surprise I found many of them to be quite interesting.
So the next time you're wandering the streets, look down at your feet, you may find something quite surprising.
